Tyler was born and raised in Worthington, Ohio. In 2004, at the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a Data Network Specialist and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After three and a half years and many travels throughout the Pacific Theater he decided to pursue a different path. In 2008 Tyler was selected and accepted into the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician program and successfully graduated in 2009. He was then stationed in North Carolina with 2nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, Camp Lejeune, NC. After two tours in Afghanistan and eleven years of service Tyler chose to step away from active duty to pursue other opportunities. Since stepping out Tyler has continued to work in the explosives industry. He has worked as a Pyro Technician where he trains young Marines for upcoming deployments using small explosive charges to simulate some explosive threats they may face. He also works as an Unexploded Ordnance Technician where he travels to various locations within the United States and removes explosive hazards from the local areas, making them safer for military personnel and civilians alike. Tyler’s training, dedication, and focus under high pressure situations has prepared him for many challenges faced in the civilian market. His attention to detail both on and off the battlefield make him an excellent candidate for managing personnel and exceeding any and all tasks presented to him. Tyler is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Athena’s Owl where he is joined by his fellow Veterans who bring a passion for continuing to serve their community by highlighting various events and installations using aerial photography and videography. Tyler, like the rest of the team, are thrilled to meet and exceed all expectations from their clients and continue to represent the Veteran community with pride and honor.
